Downtown 11th Avenue / city lots
Hillside downtown. Tight turns and slope toward the curb. Plan a compact courtyard or move to a lot.
Roller rink rental in Altoona, PA
A portable roller rink rental in Altoona is a downtown 11th Avenue lot, a Jaffa Shrine hall, or a Blair County Convention Center pad. Galactic Ice already holds year-round public skate and Penn State Altoona hockey. That plant is not a vacant event deck.

Start an Altoona roller rink rental quote with the downtown lot, Jaffa, or the convention pad — not Galactic Ice as vacant.
Local pad and venue notes
Downtown 11th Avenue is a hillside, not a stall grid. Jaffa Shrine Center is an indoor event machine with a real dock. Convention Center and Lakemont lots are the larger outdoor path. Galactic Ice is occupied year-round.
What guests experience
Altoona already has Galactic Ice. A portable roller rink rental is how a downtown party, a Shrine weekend, or a convention event still gets a temporary sheet. 11th Avenue is a hillside; measure a lot, not the slope. Jaffa Shrine Center is often the cleaner indoor path. Blair County Convention Center and Lakemont lots are where a civic rectangle is honest. We review compact courtyard sheets downtown and civic sizes on a marked lot or indoor hall. We do not treat Galactic Ice as a vacant portable NHL product.
Truck and load-in access
Downtown needs a grade note. Jaffa needs door width. Convention lots need marked stalls. Do not send Galactic Ice as empty.
Calendar and weather
Shrine and convention calendars move indoor dates. Holiday downtown weekends are a different clock. Send the week.

Jaffa Shrine Center
About 3,200-seat multipurpose hall. Indoor civic room — door width and floor protection, not acreage.

How it works
How an Altoona quote is planned
1
Measure the usable footprint
In Altoona we review 20 × 40 ft, 40 × 60 ft, and 40 × 80 ft. Send the usable rectangle at a convention or Lakemont lot, not Galactic Ice. We do not quote a permanent rink as a portable product.
2
Choose indoor, outdoor, or covered
Outdoor holiday skating is realistic on a marked lot with a rain plan. Indoor halls cover a thaw and any week the hockey plant is already serving the public.
3
Review what happens after submission
Altoona requests are checked first for whether you sent Galactic Ice as vacant. Then the lot or hall is reviewed.

Answers for a portable rink request on a measured event pad.
Can I rent a portable roller rink in Altoona for an event?
Yes. Altoona roller rink rental requests are reviewed from the actual pad, date, and about how many people will skate. Use the quote button on this page.
Do you replace Galactic Ice?
No. Galactic Ice is a year-round indoor plant. A portable quote is a downtown lot, Jaffa, or a convention pad.
How much space do I need for a roller rink rental in Altoona?
A 20 × 40 ft courtyard fits a hotel or indoor room (about 12–20 skaters). Most civic pads are 40 × 60 ft. A larger floor needs a marked lot. We do not quote a permanent rink as a portable product.
Should a January Altoona rink be indoors?
Outdoor works for a short holiday window with a rain plan and a weather plan. All-day public hours belong indoors or under cover.
How many people can skate at once?
A courtyard sheet holds about 12–20. A civic 40 × 60 ft sheet holds about 40–65. Tell us whether skating is the headliner or one station at a larger party.
