Planning a portable rink in Newark, DE
Plan the event
A Newark, DE quote needs the campus or downtown address. Guests can come from I-95 or Elkton. The truck still needs one Delaware pad.
Local pad and venue notes
Fred Rust and Gold Ice Arenas already exist on South College Avenue. Do not send those sheets as a portable quote. Campus greens need irrigation, slope, and who controls the lawn after class. Downtown Main Street lots are tighter and still need a last truck turn.
What guests experience
Newark, Delaware is the University of Delaware market. It is not Newark, New Jersey. Fred Rust and Gold Arena are existing sheets. We review campus lawns, hotel courtyards, and indoor halls that are not already a permanent rink. Say whether guests are students, town, or a private list. Campus security windows decide more than the city name.
Truck and load-in access
Do not send Fred Rust as a vacant pad. Courtyard and hall docks are the compact asks.
Calendar and weather
UD calendar first. Home weekends and breaks move dates.
Season note
Campus calendars decide more than the weather. Exam weeks and home football Saturdays change load-in.

Newark, Delaware — not New Jersey

How it works
How a Newark quote is planned
1
Measure the usable footprint
In Newark, DE we review 20 × 40 ft and 30 × 60 ft on one lawn panel. We do not treat the Fred Rust sheet as a portable product.
2
Choose indoor, outdoor, or covered
Outdoor campus lawns are the usual student-event ask. Indoor halls hold public hours when the Green is already programmed.
3
Review what happens after submission
The review checks Delaware versus New Jersey first, then whether the pad is a UD lawn or the existing arena.
